Joshua Sanchez

I'm a director, writer, creator, and storyteller based in Brooklyn.

My debut feature film Four won the Best Performance Award at the Los Angeles Film Festival, the Best Feature Film Award at the Urbanworld Film Festival, and was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award. I was awarded the Hodder Fellowship from Princeton University’s Lewis Center for the Arts and the NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship in Screenwriting. I’m a member of the Writers Guild of America, East and I teach screenwriting. I’ve contributed to The GuardianThe Creative Independent, Departures, Galerie, and Lambda Literary. I’m a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and Columbia University’s MFA Film program. I currently serve as the Director of Digital and Design Services at NYU Tisch School of the Arts in New York City.
