
A native of Houston, Texas, Joshua Sanchez graduated from Columbia University’s MFA Film Program in 2004. Joshua won the HBO Films Young Producer’s Development Award, participated in Tribeca All Access at the Tribeca Film Festival, and in the IFC – New York’s No Borders program during Independent Film Week.
His films have screened at festivals internationally including South by Southwest, Telluride Film Festival, Istanbul International Film Festival, and Outfest. His ongoing experimental film project ‘Screentests’ will have its premiere at PS122 Gallery in New York City in February 2010. He’s currently working on his first feature length film, “Four,” an adaptation of the play by Christopher Shinn. His first short story “A Night Out,” was recently published in Mary: A Literary Journal in December 2009.
